On July 7, 2017 heaven gained another angel. Our dad, James Edward Ulrich age 67, passed away at home surrounded by family members. He is no longer suffering and is now watching over us. Our dad, AKA Jimmy or Jimbo, was a great man who deserves a service to celebrate his life. He was a veteran who fought for our country in the Vietnam War. He worked hard for many many years for Plumbers Local 14 (now Local 24) as a journeyman, then a foreman and also as a well-respected teacher. He leaves behind his 3 daughters from his first marriage to Donna Ulrich; Sarah Ulrich and her fiancé Larry Martin, Amanda Mathews and husband Douglas, Corinne Primavera and husband Michael and six grandchildren Hailee, Alex, Jackson, Cole, Genevieve and Peyton. He also leaves behind his wife Sharon and her sons Richard and Raymond Volosin, daughter in law Christine, and her grandchildren Jennifer, Freddy, Raymond and Kyleigh. He was the 7th son of a 7th son and joins in heaven four of his brothers who passed before him. He will be missed and remembered by a very large family, many friends and former coworkers. Since he passed in South Carolina and was privately cremated we are planning on celebrating his life here in New Jersey on August 12th.

A memorial church service will be held at 10:00am at St. Mary's Church in Pompton Lakes (17 Pompton Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442) followed immediately by a brunch at The Home of Sarah Ulrich (14 Lovell Drive, Wanaque, NJ 07465). Our dad was a great guy and if you knew him, you loved him. Let's give him the proper send-off he deserves and spend an afternoon honoring, remembering and celebrating his time here on earth. Jimbo, you are gone too soon and will be greatly missed. ❤❤

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to help defray the cost. Any monies leftover will be donated to the Veterans Hospital in Dad’s name.

If you plan on attending, please email his daughter Sarah at or call her at (973)897-1556.
