James Jenkins

James E. Jenkins Beloved husband, father, brother, and son James E. Jenkins, 74, of Roselle, N.J., was born on June 21, 1942, and passed away on March 14, 2017. A service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, at 11 a.m., at Ruach Outreach Ministries, 724 Park Ave., Plainfield, N.J. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Interment is in New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown, N.J. James was an Army veteran, retired master plumber, past commander of American Legion Post 152 and commander of VFW Post 9015 of Newark, N.J. James was predeceased by his parents, Mary Jenkins, Printess Jenkins, and Lillian Jenkins Sayles, brother, Sammy Lee Jenkins, Dwight Jenkins, Billy Humphert, and Calvin Hewins. James is survived by his wife, Constance Jenkins; his two children, James A. Jenkins Jr. of Franklin Township, N.J., and Nicole Campbell, of Milltown N.J.; two brothers, Abd Assabur Muhammad of Brooklyn, N.Y., Kevin Dickerson of Plainfield, N.J.; and six sisters, Carolyn Jenkins and Connie Buwa (Ellis) of Plainfield N.J., Janice Brown (John) of Greenville, S.C., Roxie Idegwu of North Brunswick, N.J., Donna Perkins of South Orange, N.J., and Ernestine Nelson of Bridgewater, N.J.; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be missed by the many who loved him.
